Let us solve the acoustic challenges
in your environment.

We can deliver acoustic dampening for a range of applications. Our selection of acoustic foam and specialist knowledge will provide everything you need to control sound.

Foam absorbs airborne sound by dissipating the energy within the cellular network. With combinations of different densities it is possible to absorb sounds at different frequencies. This can be improved by lamination of other substrates such as heavy layers.

Foils, films, fabrics and self adhesive backings can also be applied for special applications.

Facilities are available for coating the foam with films, adhesives, barrier mats, lead linings, and spray coating with PVC.

Accoustic foam

Polyurethane foam

Polyurethane foam is very good as a sound insulator, and is available in 2 main densities of 30Kg/m³ and 60Kg/m³. They can be laminated to other substances such as films or foils for improving resistance to certain substances or reflecting heat. Impregnated versions are also available for improving the Fire Retardancy.

Reticulated foam

These types of foam are acoustically transparent (open cell) allowing free flow of sound through them. Typically used for Hi-Fi speaker grilles and microphone windshields. Available in a range of porosities.

Impregnated PU foam

An impregnated PU foam for improved Fire Retardancy to UL94 HF1 and BS476 Class 0. Due to its increased mass through impregnation, it assists in damping out sound.

Melamine foam

Lightweight and low density foam with excellent acoustic properties, chemical and temperature resistance. Ideal for use where weight is an issue. Density is approx. 11 Kg/m³

Felted foam

A special grade of foam which is a thermally compressed grade which creates both a higher density foam product, thus improving its acoustical behaviour, but is also open cell and creates a medium which allows the escape of air or gases in a pneumatic system for instance.
