This control and manipulation of the foam chemistry can create more bespoke grades such as Inkjet foam, HME foam and Cosmetic foam. Reticulated foam is also suitable as the pre-cursor for post treatment or impregnation to produce foam with a high degree of fire retardancy, weldability and other potential new products.
Available in porosities of 10ppi (pores per inch) to 60ppi with a special grade of 100ppi for fine filtration. This grade is less prone to hydrolysis, making it suitable for use in applications where water is present.

With a more controlled cell structure, these foams are more efficient for filtering air to remove large particles down to things like pollen.
Heat & Moisture Exchange filters. These are special grades for use in medical devices such as anaesthesia lines where moist breath when breathed out is captured by the foam and dry air inhaled is re-hydrated by the foam filter.

These are open cell foams which are compressed under heat and take a set. They are used for micro-filtration and also have uses where wicking is a requirement for sucking up liquids like ink to act as a reservoir. They are also good shock absorbers and acoustical foam used in braking systems.

A polyester reticulated foam which exhibits excellent High Frequency weldability , whilst at the same time creating a coating onto the foam strands to improve the hydrolysis and prevent the breakdown of the foam in the presence of water but also having the controlled cell structure. Used in Compressor Line Filtration.

We work continually alongside our Foam Partners to develop Higher Specification Reticulated Foams with a consistent cell structure with tight tolerances. Such foam along with Critical Cutting Technology, allows us to produce special foam that can be used as a pre-cursor for ceramic filters.

Reticulated ether foams which are impregnated by a highly fire retardant compound, to improve the fire performance of the foam. Examples are UL94 HF1 and V0.

These are special 100ppi reticulated foams that are created by a Chemical process called Quenching, where the cell windows are removed by etching. This process creates a foam with improved softness and also they are formulated to give a foam that can be welded on the edges by heat & pressure.
