Sponge Rubbers

Sponge Rubbers

Sponge Rubbers are the foremost material that are used for seals & gaskets for preventing leaks of gasses or fluids at low compression forces.

Properties include:

Neoprene

Neoprene is a trade name of Dupont for a rubber called Polychloroprene.

In the foamed format, it has an excellent characteristic for creating a seal or gasket upon the application of a small amount of compression. Uses include: Oil Seals WeatherStripping Vent and Air Conditioning Seals.

The foams can be supplied with or without a self adhesive backing and can be cut into coils for sealing tapes.

EPDM

Used in many outdoor applications such as weatherstrips, mouse mats, light seals, vibration dampening, mounting tapes.

Available in a Supersoft version for low compression seals.

The foams can be supplied with or without a self adhesive backing and can be cut into coils for sealing tapes.

PVC/Nitrile

Uses include: Oil Seals, Cushioning, Vibration Dampening Shock Absorption

Neoprene / EPDM Blends

A formulation of foams where the benefits of both base sponges can be utilised. An example is an oil resistant seal with a high temperature performance. Available in a variety of blend ratios.
